The children had an assembly and workshop today about a charity called the Size of Wales. They work to help save rainforests the ‘size of wales’ by planting new trees to replace the trees that are being cut down. The children have learnt about how deforestation affects the animals’ habitats and some worrying facts that if rainforests continue to be cut down at the current rate they will disappear within 35 years!
Important messages about reducing, reusing and recycling to help our environment not only locally but worldwide. For £1.00 the charity can plant 2 cocoa bean trees to replace trees that care being cut down.
