Newsletters: Well-being Week

This week is ‘Well-being Week’. Although well-being is at the heart of everything we do, this week we will draw attention to ‘The 5 Ways to Well-being’ and encourage everyone to look after their well-being.
Teachers have planned a range of activities under the 5 headings:
Connect, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Be Active and Give. For further information about what these mean please click the link https://www.mind.org.uk/workplace/mental-health-at-work/taking-care-of-yourself/five-ways-to-wellbeing/
Today we have shared the story ‘Thank You for the Little Things’ that helps us to think about the little things to be thankful for.
There are a range of activities planned this week and over the coming weeks to enhance the children’s learning experiences:
Spectrum – a project to teach pupils about healthy relationships
Bikeability – teaching yr 5/6 pupils road safety on bikes
Speed Awareness – PC stu and road safety officers will work with KS2 pupils to look at road safety around the school. Children will encourage the community to keep to the speed limit of 20mph around the school.
Visit to Brynteg Library – children will visit the library to share stories and books and will get chance to sign up for a library card.
